The stair formwork systems are used at the concrete stairways for of multistory buildings. The stairs are cast separately from the floor slabs. Based on their drawings the formwork can be designed either single handed or double handed or spiral configurations.

Precasting the stair formwork is also a common application for multistory dwellings. Broken soffit surface of the stair slab is esthetically preferred type of formwork.
   
 

Due to its perfect finishing the exposed quality concrete surfaces are accomplished and therefore plastering is not required. These forms are especially used at buildings which are repeated several times or in multi-storey projects. It is recommended due to its no-loss formwork and easy assembling and stripping nature.
