The concrete casting process has generally two stages. The first stage is invert while the second is upper structure. Inner formwork of the upper structure is movable in itself and can be an assembled of several pieces depending upon the width of the culvert. |

When the construction time is short and the shape of the structure is advanced and large, usually heavy formwork system is chosen. Cranes with suitable size and capacities are needed for setting, dismantling and rotation of the heavy formwork. |

The exterior forms travel on the rails attached to the invert concrete. Left and right side of the exterior forms are attached to each other by trusses and adjustment screws in order to travel together. |

Some modular culvert forms are fabricated in large sizes that manual operations are not practical, however when time and labor is considered savings are enormous. |
