HEAVY CONCRETE FORMWORK SYSTEMS > Crane Handled Climbing Formwork |
| |
|
| |
Crane handled formwork is rather heavier and larger than regular modular formwork. Their sizes are often chosen to match existing crane capacity. Erection and disassembling of the formwork occurs over a platform sitting on cantilever brackets that carry the formwork system and itself. |

The connection hardware varies upon the size of the formwork. They are durable and practical. They are advantageous when labor and time is considered. The essential criteria of the crane handled formwork are to cover all the concrete castings within the crane operation boundaries. With this logic the plywood or steel faced formwork must be smaller at size when manipulation is considered but larger to cover more concrete area as possible. |

Formwork cycling of crane handled climbing system |
| |
|
| |
Formwork cycling of a crane handled system to higher lifts is provided by the support of conical anchors left in place in the previous pour. Forms are moved upwards rapidly and easily by resting on those anchor pieces which are also recoverable. Forms can also be moved laterally by manual adjustment screws. Work platforms at 3 different levels also provide comfort and required safety in all the construction activities. |

1- One side of formwork sets at the ground level and anchored to the ground. The conical anchors for the second lift are set to its position at this stage. |
| |
|
| |
2- Concrete is poured in the secured formwork system.3- Forms and accessories are disassembled, leaving only the conical anchors behind. |
| |
|
| |
3- Forms shifted to the above lift are attached to below work platform. Process of setting forms completed. |

|
| |
4- Concrete is poured. |

The sizes of the formwork are designed to give modular use the best advantage. Plywood and steel sizes are also considered along with this logic. This type of formwork has a vast application portfolio such as bridges, dams, treatment plants, cooling towers, silos, retaining walls, single faced walls. |

Formwork rotation is executed by the help of a crane. Vertical rotation of the crane handled formwork is made on the conical anchors left in the previous pour. Work platforms at the three different locations provide sufficient and necessary work safety and access. |
