INTRODUCTION
   
 
COZUMSAN was founded first in 1986 a smaller workshop with an area of 2000 square meters. As the construction market brought new and contemporary demand for various materials we enjoyed a market blowout. As a result of this situation we gave a new momentum to our research and development activities to meet such demand and imported new fabrication equipment and techniques offered by renowned companies throughout the world.
   
 
Today COZUMSAN operates in two factories located in Izmir and Kirikkale over a much greater workspace with a total area of 20000 square meters. Thanks to our experienced technical crew and our machinery park consists of over 150 improved technology units we became one of the main players of the construction industry, leading business sector of Turkey. We provide free of charge after sales consulting and engineering service to our customers. Besides our standard products, our fabrication program can also satisfy custom fabrication requirements of our customers that require further engineering studies. This kind of flexibility always brings us to new design and assembly frontiers.
   
 
Besides our fabrication capacities we are also builders as profession. We have successfully completed several multistory apartment structures, 3 turnkey factory projects that are currently operational. In addition we also built our own workshops. In the year 2000 we received an appreciation certificate from the Governor's Office Manisa Province for our efforts in building tens of ready to use prefabricated houses in Golcuk for emergency response to the great Izmit Earthquake
   
 
Our management and fellow staff members accept quality, timely completion and economy as their business principles. The same principles were also in effect for various projects elsewhere in Azerbaijan, Iraq, Russia, Kirgiziystan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, Slovenia, United Kingdom, Nederland, Romania, Dominican Republic, Libya, Ghana, Afghanistan, Singapore besides Turkey. We have been exporting our scaffolding system to Iraq almost non-stop since the year 2001. We joined our forces with the well-known French Formwork Company SIMPRA for their fabrication requirements in Turkey or other neighboring countries.
   
 
   
 
Cozumsan is a leading company in the business when the establishment year and the capacity is considered. We periodically joined several Fairs and Exhibitions and received Environmental Awareness Award in Munich BAUMA95 Fair.
   
 
Timber is widely used as construction material in Turkey. To minimize the environmental impact we have been enticing our customers to use steel products in their Formwork, Scaffolding, Props, Door Frames requirements. It is a known fact that steel products are more economical when assembly time and labor considered as well as the cost and the strength of steel compared. That is why the contemporary construction sites prefer steel formwork and scaffolding systems for easy and safe assembly and disassembly features. Pre-engineered steel systems are necessary in high difficulty level structures that cannot be easily accomplished with timber. Steel doorframes are now widely preferred in housing projects, hospitals, schools, etc. brought a new esthetical level to the market. This is why this product has been in use in many large projects in Turkey for several years.
   
 
   
 
Our fire rated steel doors received thermal certification from Istanbul Technical University that helped us to serve in several projects within Turkey and abroad.
   
 
We use first quality raw materials; sheet metal, tubes and profiles conform various BS, European and Turkish Standards. We can only use A grade material to reach the best quality fabrication. Cost of the material is not important because we cannot compromise the quality of our final products in which Turkish Standards Institute certifies several of them.
   
 
To implement better services to our customers Cozumsan has applied to BS-EN ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management systems. We are diligently working on the process to receive the certificate. We applied to International Agencies to receive quality reports for our various products.
